While waiting for John and Pat to arrive at Benton Falls I found this Yellow Warbler curiously checking me out from a distance.
 Patiently waiting is the name of the game when you want to capture an eagle swoop down and grab a fish… tis ok, there is plenty to keep your eyes busy — this sandpiper was more than happy to keep my attention.
 Not even wildlife was needed - I was fascinated by the grass flowing from under the flowing water.
 In the middle of the river this young eagle sat perched on a rock - if you thought you may win the battle of wills to see who would move first, well this eagle sat there for an hour not moving an inch.
 Of all the places to sit, the eagle that sat there so nicely was disrupted by another eagle who thought they would just take the sitting spot. It was a very short spat… in the end my friend lost his spot.
 A single talon dips into the Sabasticook River - such precision.
 I have seen many times where they come up with nothing, but the majority of the time it is a home run and they have a tasty snack.
 The most difficult part is where to go so you don’t get mobbed by other eagles wanting a little nibble.

 This happened right in front of Pat - I missed it grabbing it from the water, but was happy to at least capture it flying away.
 A typical eagle against a blue background, but it was crisp that you can see the droplets of water on its beak — so it made the cut.
 Not sure what was going on here, but thought it was a cool composition how it was parallel to the tree.
 The last shot of the day - the osprey had its dinner and flew off into the sunset… Pat and John had way better photos, but I had to at least say I got a shot off. Thanks for invite and the fun afternoon. I had zero thoughts about work and was a grea
